  • Stress reduction/relaxation
Volunteer recruitment is ongoing with induction programmes included with each new batch of volunteers this includes:
  • The background and history of the Alliance
  • What is volunteering
  • Confidentiality
  • Group Work & Listening Skills
  • Equal Opportunities
If you do not have the time to commit there are other ways of participating in the work of the Alliance:
  • As participants in our activities
  • As members of the Community Health Forum
  • As a member of the management committee
The Community Health Forum

Was set up in October 2002 to take forward health issues raised by communities in the 8 regeneration areas in which the Healthy Living Centre Project works. The Group aims to:
  • Listen and respond to the needs of these communities
  • Raise issues of concern to decision-makers e.g. through drama presentations
  • Act as a community voice
Since October 2002, the group has developed its action plan for the coming year and has written and performed a drama about community involvement in health services. The Drama group can be Booked for special appearances.
